Downtown Lima Traffic Survey
By Aubree Kaye | Friday, April 17, 2009
The City of Lima, in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Transportation, LJB, and the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission, is conducting a traffic study in the downtown Lima area. This study will:
-
Evaluate the feasibility of converting local one-way streets to a two-way street pattern in whole or part
-
Analyze the location of state routes in the downtown area
-
Develop a plan to optimize the current signal system
This is an opportunity to assess transportation in the downtown area and improve it before further investments are made. One goal of changing travel patterns will be to maintain or improve current measures of effectiveness such as delay, travel time, and vehicle emissions.
Survey Objective Whether your business is in operation, or your property has business potential, the purpose of this survey is to obtain data about the individual transportation needs and operation of business properties in downtown Lima. Your input will be used to supplement the technical studies that will develop alternatives for street patterns in the downtown area. Your time is greatly appreciated. PLEASE NOTE: The DEADLINE for the survey is April 30, 2009! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=cAxHspuf4d1HvyVyHLnDiw_3d_3d Thank you for you time and cooperation.
