The City of Lima has agreed to close Metcalf Street (between Market and High Street on Monday, December 14th in order to position a crane to move the Lima Locomotive. The locomotive will be moving to it's new home inside the new Allen County Museum addition that is currently under construction.

LIMA — The sun was out and the birds were chirping for the kick-off of Square Fair 2009.
This year’s Square Fair brought in 55 craft vendors and 18 food booths that were sprinkled around Lima’s Town Square. That is a large increase to last year’s numbers of 25 vendors and 12 food booths.

Indiana to decide on rail line

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Lima Mayor David Berger attended a meeting in Indiana on Thursday during which the state announced it would decide on the route of its high-speed rail line.

Ohioans would have to pay triple the current $5 for vehicle titles and abide by new traffic and seat-belt laws under a new version of the state transportation budget headed toward approval.
